6/1/13 Ms. St. Amand Summer Merit Program Essay I believe that my acceptance into the Summer Merit Program will affect my life in three positive ways. It will affect my life by giving me insight into pharmaceutical science and ophthalmic technologies, giving me a chance to meet and learn from interesting professors who can give me guidance in the medical field, and finally by giving me a chance to broaden my horizons within the medical field. These are just a few of the many reasons this program will benefit me and my future. First, this program will give me insight into pharmaceutical science and ophthalmic technologies. Accepting me into this program will make me well versed on new and interesting ophthalmic and pharmaceutical advances. It is important that I am educated on these advances so that I can better understand the future of pharmacology and ophthalmology. I am interested in neurology and these courses are of great interest to me. Also, my acceptance into the program will give me a chance to meet and learn from interesting professors who can give me guidance in the medical field.
