Group Therapy
Empathy: Allow students to convey to other group members that they understand and will not make fun of anyone. Role playing is an acting exercise that is frequently used in a group therapy environment. Modeling: Allow students to see counselor as a role model in group work and the behaviors that can be applied to them personally. Active Listening: Allow student to be very aware of their listening skills within a group and how important they are. This allows the group to be more open with each other when they know their group members are paying attention to their feedback.

Group therapy is a type of therapy that can be used on many disorders if not all of them. Group settings allow for you to understand and view someone else and know you are not alone.

Negative, dysfunctional thinking affects a person's mood, sense of self, behavior, and even physical state. The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy is to help a person learn to recognize negative patterns of thought, evaluate their validity, and replace them with healthier ways of thinking.
The approach of cognitive therapy is educational. Therapist’s use structured learning experiences that teach patients to watch and write down their negative thoughts and mental images.
