Unacceptable Tragic Some people question if the case of Trayvon Martin a seventeen-year-old African American taken too far or not taken far enough. Well, think about it: An innocent young teenager going to a store to get a package of skittles and an iced tea walking home not bothering anyone. Many people think that he had to do something for George Zimmerman to react the way he did, but also some other people believed that Zimmerman was low key racist because the racist slurs he had made to Trayvon before he shot and killed him, but I believe there aren't any excuses for killing Trayvon Martin.
Martin, at the time, was staying a weekend with his dad in a very nice and secured neighborhood, so we thought. Then something tragic happened later that night when Trayvon's family had no idea that they would be getting a phone call about their son dying at that very instance. Trayvon family told the media that he walked everywhere and came home safely, except for that one night. So what did an innocent teenager do to deserve his life taken away before our eyes? The answer is nothing.
Upon walking home, “He knew he was being followed and tried to get away from the guy, and the guy still caught up with him,” Tracey Martin [Trayvon Martin's father] said. “And that’s the most disturbing part. He thought he had got away from the guy and the guy back-tracked for him.” (BlackHistory360) Trayvon was on the phone with a girl, a friend from school, and there was no more responding over the phone because Zimmerman shot and killed him. "1 felt he [Trayvon Martin] was suspicious because it was raining", Zimmerman quoted (@ItsYaGirlAC). Suggesting a reason to kill someone because he looks suspicious? Just because I wear a black hoodie makes me look suspicious? Well, maybe they've had a bad day. Hannity asked Zimmerman why he was distracted on the 911 call and Zimmerman responded. “I wanted to make sure that–I believe they asked me for my address. I wanted to be sure that nobody was lingering and could hear my address and come back. I was making sure there wasn’t anybody that would surprise me and I wanted to give an accurate location.” Then, Zimmerman asked on the 911 call to have the police call him when they wanted to get an accurate location. He then backtracked on his “accurate location” claim by saying, “I hadn’t given them a correct address. I gave them the clubhouse vicinity, however I was walking through to my street and I was going to give them the correct street number and name.”(@ItsYaGirlAC) The fact that Zimmerman only got sentenced a few days' makes many people furious, including me. He deserved much more time for killing an innocent person who was just trying to get home. So what! He had a hoodie on. Zimmerman said
