V. Results and Conclusion Question
1. The Experiment completed in this lab demonstrates density of a substance is that density is smaller than the substances mass. Different substances have different densities because Density= mass/volume, so if the value of mass and volume change then the calculations that create density will vary.
2. According to the accepted metal densities of common metals, the metals used in the experiments were classified. Metal A whose density 2.69 g/mL is
Aluminium, Metal B whose density is 8.63 g/mL is closest to Cobalt and Metal
C’s density is 6.61 g/mL which it closest to Zinc who has the density of 7.14 g/mL .
3. The percent error of Metal A is:

4.

The percentage error for the slope in the class data is the volume’s average was 10.2 g and 28.91mL.

5.

The percent errors between problems 3 and 4 had different percentages. The error that is most reliable is Metal A in problem three because the percentage of error was only .370%. If it had been 64.718% that means the percentage or chance of it being wrong is higher.
Density can only be used to identify substances because
