The world in which we now live is full of computers and password in which we use to get onto those computers. We hear of password breeches everyday on the news. If could be a company computer was hacked or that an email scam sent a virus to a computer and security was breeched. There are several ways to protect yourself from having your password compromised. The other side of the fence is what happens when they are not protected and things that could happen. We have all heard the warnings about keeping our passwords safe and creating passwords that cannot be hacked by others. The following are ways to achieve that and protect what you value most. When you are creating a password, it is recommended that it be between eight and fifteen characters in length. The longer the password, the more protected you are from someone getting your information. It is also recommended that you do not use any personal information, such as family names, types of cars, birthdates, pet names, or the name of any companies that you have worked for, past and present. In reading the book and my research articles, I have found several different suggestions of how to create a better password. These will be most useful when I need to change my password again.
