“ Not a race it’s a Marathon “ The professional season for baseball is not too long it’s the perfect length. The baseball season is 164 games long and thats not including pre and post season games. I feel like its the perfect length because all 30 teams get the opportunity to play each other more than once so there is no such thing as lucky game. People not only think the season is long they also feel the games are long as well. Baseball games are not like football, basketball, and hockey games where they have timed quarters or periods. There is no telling when a game is going to be over it can last an hour and 30 mins or even to 4 hours. Many people say that the season is way too long and should be reduced because a lot of players tend to get hurt and miss all the excitement that the season brings. February 16th, 2014 full squad reports to get prepared for pre season all 30 teams being to get their mind right for a long journey that they are about to embark on. Pre-season is about 34 games, The regular season is 164 games, and the post-season takes the whole month of October to determine who is the best team. People don’t really like that baseball season is long, They care for the players safety so they feel like it should be reduced. In the 2014 season 186 players were hurt, majority of them were out for the season due to the fact athletes like Jarrod Parker, A.J. Griffen, Nate Jones, and etc had to undergo Tommy John surgery. This type of surgery is needed when pitchers throw their elbow out and need to get it fixed, by having this surgery done it puts players out for the
