Intro
At the beginning of the play Macbeth is portrayed as a brave worrier who is trustworthy to his King but is corrupted from the witches’ visions and by his wife, Lady Macbeth's determination. This is because of the weakness of Macbeth's character and the strong power of Lady Macbeth and how she is easily able to convince him to do what she wants. The crimes he committed due to pressure from his wife and from his ambition to be king lead to feel guilty and also to his death.
Act 1 scene 2
The battle between Scotland and Norway is in full swing and it is looking good for the scots. In this scene, Duncan receives three important pieces of news: the death of the Macdonald who is killed by "brave Macbeth". Macbeth’s action against the Norwegians, and the betrayal of the thane who has now gone against them and joined sides with the enemy. In each case, Macbeth's heroism stands out, leading Scotland to victory. ”o valiant cousin! Worthy gentleman!” this is what king Duncan rejoices after the news of Macbeth. The name Macbeth is being passed on as a hero and everybody knows this, “which ne’er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him, till he unseamed him from the nave to the chops” here the captain is saying that Macbeth did not hang around or wait he just ‘slashed his way through the battle until he reached that scum MacDonald ‘Which then is says that Macbeth sliced him from his belly to his jaw. Ross is Macduff's cousin. He acts as a messenger in the play, bringing good news and bad news.He has come also talking about Macbeth,”Bellona’s bridegroom”.Bellonas bridegroom was the Roman goddess of war, and her husband, according to Roman mythology, was Mars, the god of war. He is also the most important Roman god after Jupiter, here when Ross is talking about him it shows that people are and will think very highly of him.

Act 1 scene 3
Throughout all countries there has always been people who believed in witchcraft and witches.This scene is all about the witch and the effect they have on Macbeth,and how that causes him to die later on. The witch’s appear out of nowhere when Macbeth and banquo were coming back from the war. The witches tell banquo and Macbeth about the storm they caused to a sailor because his wife crossed on of them.”the wired sisters,hand I hand, posters of sea and land,thus do go,about,about,thrice to thine,and thrice to mine, and thrice again, to make up nine. Peace-the charm’s wound up”(the witches), here they are telling them the spell they cast to make the sea rough for the sailor(the husband of the woman that crossed one of the witches).”Weary sennights nine times nine”,they said the he did not sleep for a week
