Three Dances
A wide variety of personalities like dance. Each of these personalities has their favorite dance style or category. More emotional people may like watching dances that have an emotional tug. Outgoing daredevils love extreme, high energy dancing is loved by outgoing daredevils. Simple artsy folks like dances that are classical. The real dance enthusiasts enjoy viewing all types of dance to keep their imaginative eye open. Dance is a beautiful and wonderful medium that everyone can relate to.
When watching dance the viewer sometimes wonders: “How is that humanly possible?” The dancer’s body twists and curves in ways that the average person would cringe at. Somehow these dancers are not able to feel any pain and can make these movements look effortless. Behind the master body benders, years of hard work in flexibility and strength are required to execute these contortionist-like poses. Some dancer’s balance makes some dances look impossible. In the middle of a dance a dancer will suddenly complete eleven pirouettes without coming down. Right out of the pirouettes they launch themselves into a sky-rocketing leap. Spectators love a thrill every now and then to keep them on the edge of their seats. Some companies hire dancers that are experts at impressing crowds with their bizarre talents. Cirque du Soleil is known for having shows that exhibit numerous performers that blow audience’s minds. Other companies create dances that have random spurts of peculiar movement. Even though this style of dance may freak out some people, the general population likes the buzz of excitement that radiates off the whimsical stage.
On the opposite side of the dance spectrum, simple dance is also liked by a considerable amount of folks. This minimalistic approach creates a delightful feeling in the viewer. Some people might describe this type of dancing as simple but beautiful. Nothing startles or jumps out at the audience; everything flows effortlessly together. The crowd is not overwhelmed by insane flexibility or new-age dance styles. Instead, the dancers perform classical styles such as ballet and ballroom. In these classical styles, the dancer’s body creates smooth never-ending lines that capture the space around them. This kind of movement can be either slow, fast or a mix of both and provides the viewer with an escape from everyday life. While the active viewer’s mind is relieved from
