The Magna Carta, US Bill of Right, the American Declaration of Independence, the English Bill of Rights, and the French Declaration of Independance are documents that have influenced the world in a big way. But we always come across questions like when did they occur and what were the causes and effects, how did they lead to new forms of government? How did they influence the world? What are the differences and similarities of these documents?
The thing that the Magna Carta, Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizens, and the American Declaration all have in common is that they give people certain rights and limit the rulers/kings power. For example, the Magna Carta was a document made by the people and signed by the king for using tyranny, it limited his power and gave the people more rights as well as power. Another thing they all have in common is that all these documents helped the spread of democracy. Democracy is a type of government where people have the rights to vote and also have a say in the government. These documents highly influenced the spread of democracy. All of theses documents were about the rights of the people and how they wanted more power and the result was that the document created natural rights which cannot be taken away from you. You are born with them. People have rebelled against the government/kings because they wanted to have a say in the government. The people wanted to be able to have part of the government no matter how much money they make or how educated they are. When you put most of these things together you get democracy; a form of government where people get rights and could have a say in the government.
. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are also very similar to each other. The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments of the Constitution and theses amendments protect peoples rights and give them natural rights theses right can not be taken away from you and you are born with them. Therefore the Bill of Rights is in the Constitution. The Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Man and Citizens were two of the most influential documents ever written between 1600-1800; theses documents greatly affected the rights and freedom that everyone was born with today. Theses two documents have many similarities and differences; they both were made because they didn't like the way the king was treating them so they rebelled until they got what they wanted..“Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom.” (Adams)Some of the differences between these documents was that time periods these documents were signed, some of these documents we established was early at 1215(Magna Carta ),. Theres a lot of differences between these documents, another examples would be the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights. The Magna Carta was a document which was forced to be signed by the King of England to be more specific King John, he agreed to sign it. The Magna Carta gave the people more rights but limited the state rights. This document was also one the first documents that showed the people rising up and giving a stand. The Bill of rights on the other hand was a set of rules which gave the people some power and also natural rights. To clear things up the Magna Carta was a document that was forced to be signed by the king but the Bill of rights was a set of rules which laid out the people rights; the Magna Carta a forced signed document that limited the king's powers, Bill of Rights is a set of rules. Another example would be the Declaration of Independance and the French Declaration of Rights and Man and Citizens. The Declaration of Rights and Man is a French document which set out people rights and collective rights of the estate as one. Which was brought by the French Revolution. The American Declaration of Independence
