VARK Analysis Paper
There are a multitude amount of different ways of learning, depending on any given person and their learning styles. Learning is a goal-directed act and is something that all humans and living creatures are capable of doing. However, the process of learning is done over a progression of time and typically involves a learning curve to which individuals follow.
One common assessment used to establish a person's learning style is known as the VARK Analysis. VARK is an acronym for visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic learners. This assessment is done online and will compile information on how a person answers a series of questions. Students and teachers will use this assessment to aid in better study habits. At the end of the assessment it will prompt a learning style type based off the questions answered. It will place the individual in one of the four areas of the VARK; and gives ideas and different ways of how a person learns based on the category selected. This paper will compare this students learning style with that of the recommendation of the VARK Analysis.

VARK Learning Styles
The four categories of the VARK are; visual, aural, reading/writing and kinesthetic. According to VARK, the visual learning prefers pictures and concept maps. These individuals should turn notes into pictures as often as possible. Visual learners also see the words in their mind and can remember things better my seeing it as such. Aural learners study better by listening. These individuals, do better attending class and recording lectures to re listen to them at another time. Reading/Writing learners like to see the words. These learners will reference dictionaries and will organize their notes in lists and bullet points. These learners also will re-write and re-read notes to aid in the comprehension in what is being learned. Lastly, there are the kinesthetic learner. These learners study and learn best by "doing". These individuals were once labeled as hyperactive. Movements while sitting, such as tapping foot or pencil were common among these students. They work will in groups and activities. Kinesthetic learners are often agile and athletic, and work well with their hands.
