What are the career ambitions of the applicant? | learner would like to progress onto being a Recruitment Agent. I asked why she was interested in this role and she stated that she wanted to wear a suit and earn more money. I then asked apart from these things and looking at the job role what would she really like about the job. She would like to talk to people. She did think that the role would be easy just placing people in work. I explained that it is a varied role and can be target focused and she may have to deal with complaints. We looked at the option of her maybe doing a one day taster as a recruitment agent with her company to get a true account of the role. |

What information has been provided to the applicant to meet these ambitions? | The information that learner has received during our meeting is the course factsheet outlining the units and the break down of the apprenticeship framework. She has also had my business card with my contact details, and the log in for Ask Smart. We have discussed Ask Smart and what can be found on there, the resources to help her during her qualification. |

What advice and guidance has been provided to the applicant to achieve these ambitions? | During our meeting I discussed that learner would be doing a 3 year apprenticeship with Smart, starting with her completing a Level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship. She fully understands that she will be doing the full apprenticeship framework which is twelve months long and this does include (tests for Functional skills and Technical certificates). We discussed Ask Smart and the recourses she can use to help while on programme that can help her while on programme as well as the BKSB website (website address given) that has great resources to do the Functional skills. She has a computer at her uncle’s which she is able to use.I have also advised Learner that when we are coming close to completing the qualification we will discuss the next qualification that will help her achieve her ambition of wanting to be a Recruitment Agent. | General information about the applicant : | Learner is her first name, application form was completed incorrectly.She has a 2 year old son which she had at a young age and was kicked out of the family home by her mother. At this present time she is living with her uncle, but would like to have a place of her own. I said that we can help her with finding the relevant agencies who may be able to help her with this, I also asked if she had a case worker, which she stated yes and advised her to contact them to ask for there guidance on the matter.Learner had a lot of time away from school when she was pregnant with her son and she said that she completed 3 exams, but she
