When I was pregnant I had a frightening slip and fall at the grocery store. I was in a lot of pain and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. After many hours there I went home where my boyfriend had to take care of me. The next morning my boyfriend took me to Milford Regional Medical Center. I was happy that through all of this my baby was safe and healthy. It was almost two years ago, a week in June where I was thirty eight weeks pregnant. I had been in the hospital and at my doctor every day that week for tests and monitoring of my baby due to some concerns. The doctor had advised me to take it easy before sending me home once again. At that moment I had slipped on the wet floor and fell to the floor. I tried to stop myself from falling but there was nothing to grab on to, so the only thing I could do was protect my stomach. At first I had felt embarrassed and tried to stand up, but the pain was so excruciating that I could not pick myself up. A woman employee came over to help me and noticed that I was pregnant and crying from the pain that I was experiencing. While waiting for the ambulance and on looker ran to the car to get my mom for me. When the ambulance arrived they asked me many question as well as other’s who saw me fall. I was rushed to Woonsocket Hospital because that’s where I was at the time. The hospital staff hooked me up to a monitor right away to monitor the baby then the nurse told me I was beginning to have contractions and they would probably have to keep me until I delivered my child. I have never been a fan of that hospital so I disagreed to stay. The staff then began to be rude to my family and I and upon leaving didn’t even offer me a wheel chair to leave. That night when I got home my boyfriend has to carry me upstairs to our apartment on the third floor, he had to help me
