1. Abstract Knowledge asset is currently the major source of competitive advantage for firms, in the global firms it’s becoming clear that the way in which the firm utilise their knowledge assets can form a significant difference between them. At the same time its one of the major challenges for the firm to manage those knowledge assets. The report describes the model used by a global company like Google, in exploring and managing its knowledge assets. Through a brief analysis, we will try to find out the management and process structure Google uses.

It became the world’s most valuable brand for four years from the year 2008 up until May 2011, when apple Inc overtook them. (Costa 2011).
Google success has come as a direct result of concentrating on people’s needs. They say “Since the beginning, we’ve focused on providing the best user experience possible. Unlike other competitor Google search engine wasn’t flooded with many elements that caused distraction for user. We can see the difference between Google and Yahoo for example where Yahoo webpage is full of Ads and news etc. while Google stick to the simple interface that sends a message to the user stating they are her to give you exactly what you want.
3.2. Google’s Innovation philosophy Google mission statement is “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful”. In the real word, this statement is impossible to achieve, as some information can be private or doesn’t exist in computerized format.
