The Kid’s aren’t Alright
Many children worry about doing well in school, which causes extreme headaches and other illnesses which coincide with stress. According to statistics, about one-fifth of students worry about things more than others. Parents of students that suffer from stress should try and spend more quality time with their children to try to help with their stress levels. Although, some of these children stress out about doing well in school, parents are stressed out about how well their child is doing in school, along with financial or any other problems they may be facing to cause them to be under a lot of stress. Many children that suffer from stress caused by parents and peers often led to many health problems. Stress causes a wide range of disorders when it has a long term effect on a person. Stress can affect behaviors, sleep, and eating habits as well (Hockenbury & Hockenbury, 2010). In my opinion I think a lot of stress in brought on a child, when they get into trouble for their grades. Although, in many cases some children may suffer from stress due to family problems such as, living in an unhealthy environment. If the children’s parents wouldn’t talk about their problems in front of their children they wouldn’t know what was going on at home. When children hear the things that are going wrong at home then they tend to start blaming themselves which is not fair to them. Furthermore, parents shouldn’t talk about their financial problems to their children parents, should try a let their children live a stress free life while they are able to. When Parents are dealing with financial problems such as, loss of a job or a divorce then they shouldn’t involve their children this tends to make things harder for everyone (Hockenbury & Hockenbury, 2010). Children shouldn’t have to stress over much of anything, the only thing they need to worry about is getting through school so they can’t make something of themselves. Having said that parents should refrain themselves from harping at their children about everything that goes wrong in life, no one is perfect and we all learn from our mistakes. People with high amounts of stress, eventually the stress will start to interfere with their cognitive skills such as attention, concentration, and memory. These in which are very important to one’s everyday living (Hockenbury & Hockenbury, 2010). If one is unable to focus on what they’re supposed to be doing can eventually cause more stress on one’s body.
There are many types of disorders people can get from having a stress related life. Stressor’s can affect one’s immune system. If stress continues to be a problem one can become very exhausted, which can lead to other problems such as poor work ethics, and lack of concentration due to not having enough energy to think straight ( Hockenbury & Hockenbury, 2010). One must learn to take control over their problems which lead to stress, if one can control the amount of stress they may be under
