Course Description This course focuses on the micro aspects of organizational behavior. Topics covered include human needs and motivation, learning, perception, and attribution, as these relate to individuals and groups in organizations. Teaching methodology includes lectures, discussions and case analysis.

Course Objectives

Welcome to MGMT 2383! This course focuses on the micro aspects of organizational behaviour. Topics include learning, reinforcement, human needs and motivation, perception personality, attitudes, job satisfaction, ethics, emotions, diversity, and attribution, as they relate to individuals and groups in organizations.

The purpose of this course is to help you achieve an understanding of the micro theories and approaches to organizational behaviour. This course has five objectives: i) to help students, as aspiring managers, identify and develop the skills necessary for understanding behaviour at work; ii) to help individuals identify and develop the skills necessary to be an effective member of an organization; iii) to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills; iv) to develop writing skills; v) to understand the role of ethics in organizational analysis.
