Individual Project After talking to my grandma for this project I found out a lot of interesting facts about her. First her full name is Mirthala Moreno Perez very hard for some people to say that name.
Also I weird thing I didn’t know is she was born in Durango, Mexico I always assumed she was born in Texas. My grandma was in a lot of sports as a kid and so was my mom which makes sense now. She played volleyball, softball, and basketball and in her little town there basketball team was very good. She said they went to a huge tournament that took that team to Mexico City which is the capital of Mexico.Also it was very nice to figure out how memorable and impactful my grandma’s childhood was to her, starting of with her mother giving her a job at sixteen cleaning houses. Honestly didn’t believe her at first but then she showed me all these pictures when she was in high school with her team all holding a trophy. She was number three she likes the number even more now since she had three kids. That number will always be significant to her in her life which I find crazy.
Ever since I did this project I feel like I know my grandma so much now with all of her history and childhood. Now since she lives with us I see her all the time except we didn’t talk at all. Now she comes into my room sees how i’m doing, I know its not a big thing but its an actual start we are starting to actually get close. The huge thing is she is honestly fun to talk to she is my grandma but she makes little comments that just make me laugh. The huge thing that gets in the way of the generation gap is technology. Well my grandma has a facebook and its the funniest thing ever she will just comment on my cousin’s posts and embarrass him. This assignment definitely let me know my grandma and how she was around my age and she sounds
