The Dark Knight is the follow up to Batman Begins. The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who prizes the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. But soon the three find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. This movie is a real stand out and I recommend it to anyone who loves the DC universe character Batman.

This film stands out because the film displays spectacular action sequences and this is one of the main things that The Dark Knight is about, showing the action to the best of their ability. It is the action throughout this film that makes people glued to the screen. The budget is also a main factor in this, considering that the film cost $185,000,000 to make, the filmmakers were able to afford, any special effects that were necessary or wanted, this would not usually happen in alternative films, as many alternative filming methods have very low budgets, and the directors may only get to work with what they can get their hands on at the time. The music also plays a key role in The Dark Knight, and the reason I feel this should be included, is based upon the fact that Hans Zimmer has composed it.

The reason why this character is so appealing and outstanding is because, batman is unique amongst his fellow superheroes. It could be argued that other heroes do their duty
