I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday…
The poems, The Road not Taken by Robert Frost and Choices by Nikki Giovanni are very similar in many ways. However these two poems are as different as the sun is to the moon.
For example, The Road not Taken is about a man trying to sort out his future.
While on the other hand this African American female ,makes choices, yes,
But she isn’t given as much opportunity; yet she makes the best of it.
I relate to the poem The Road not Taken because unlike the piece Nikki Giovanni wrote,
I’m still deciding what I want and need to do with my life.
Choices is more about doing what she has already planned for herself and if it’s not what she wants,
She wants no part of it.
Whereas I have my whole life ahead of me and I can either go down a right path or a wrong path,
Choose the job I want to be satisfied with and express the emotions I want to.
I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday…

Journal Entry 3 Based on visit with Dr. Mchann he said that he would be grading this journal entry. Thanks! Acquire- After reading Paradigms of Interdependence out of Coveys book, there was one area that caught my eye. The idea that caught my eye was one of the 6 deposits. The deposit that I needed to evaluate is Keeping Commitments. Keeping commitments are very important because if you break commitments people will not value or trust you. Every time you say something you will be discredited. One…
Karen Gomez Mrs. Noceti AP English Language & Composition, Per. 1 September 15, 2014 Man’s Worst Enemy Abraham Lincoln describes the tragic truth of human nature in his quote, “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves”. This indeed is true. The truth is that man’s worst enemy is themselves. This can be applied to the country as well as human nature. The United States is possible of destroying itself and losing…
A) 1. A long term goal that I would use that would help me with time management would be to have everything I need to get done written down and set a time for how long these things should take and stick to my schedule and not get carried away with other projects or spend too much time on one project. 2. One short term goal that I could use to make sure I meet my long term goal of managing my time would be to keep better time of how long it really takes me to do something, so when I am setting…
Reading the article ‘Employee Motivation- A powerful New Model’, I believe that motivation is something that can make a person go to any extent, it can be a monetary or a mere certificate that recognizes that persons work, people can get motivated by anything, it just depends what juncture of career they are and what really matters. A person who has just started his career might be satisfied with recognition from the management and if he gets rewarded monetarily then it just boosts up his confidence…

Imagine a small neighborhood, in a borough of New York. You can hear the din of neighbors chatting, the whispers of wind through the trees, and even the shuffle of people walking about. This homey ,serene, comfortable, feeling is synonymous with the feeling a viewer gets when looking at The Little Street by Johannes Vermeer. The painting at first glance resembles a photo of an old, worn down building that could be found in a place like New York. The red bricks on the three story structure are meticulously…
