In the boat the Ellen I arrived in Sydney on the 20th of march 1833. I was excited to be the first one to find a direct path from Port Phillip and overland stock from Sydney to Adelaide, but was stopped after being forced to turn back after having a lack of water. After many fails Joseoh Hawdon guided me along the Murray to Adelaide.
After failing I set off again with 1000 sheep and 600 cattle, in which took 14 weeks to get from Sydney to Adelaide and I made 4000 dollars, which would be more then 100k today (around $105,263 dollars). Half of the money was mine so I bought a cottage in Adelaide.
