Who had the more enduring vision for the United States?
PART 1 Please answer the following questions. You may have to research information from different Internet web sites in order complete your answers. 1) What was Thomas Jefferson’s view on the role of the U.S. Government? Jefferson wanted the power to go to the states rather than the central government and he also wanted the government to have more power.
2) What was Alexander Hamilton’s view on the role of the U.S. Government? Hamilton wanted the U.S. government to have a strong centralized government and he wanted it to stay like that.

Hamilton thought there should be a growth of cities, which now today we have plenty. He also wanted manufacturing, which is how we make everything today. 3) Who do you believe had the more “enduring vision for the United States”?

Jefferson vs Hamilton
Jefferson and Hamilton both had different ideas on what our government should be like.
Jefferson thought that it should give as much freedom to the citizens as possible. Hamilton on the other hand wanted the government to be strong and centralized. They both had good ideas on how our government should be, but Alexander Hamilton had a better endearing vision on what our government system should be like.
Hamilton was very much against slavery. He thought they, slaves, should be treated as equally as people, not as property. Jefferson was also against slavery, but he kept the slaves he had. Even though he talked about all men having life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, his slaves were never given those
