1. Subject
The following notes are business strategies to help me as a Fastenal Outside Sales Person increase sales, margin, and meet monthly goals. For this, I have come up with ideas and strategies to aid in my success. These tools will be used as a guidance to help identify my weaknesses and my strengths. Although I have only been an OSP for less than a year, I have learned a lot from my training and leadership. By now, I have a better knowledge of the importance of speaking to the right people, and paying a close eye to margin. There is still a lot to be learned, but I am eager to grow and learn new things everyday.

3. Growth Potential
CEM
I have been dealing with CEM for almost a year. Although they are one of my biggest customers already, I can still see a lot of potential to growth a biger relationship, and earn more of their business. As of right now, the main supplies that they request are Fasteners, the following are opportunities that have presented and that can also be pursuit:
Welding supplies
Safety equipment such as eye wear, gloves, ear plugs, etc
Cutting saw blades
Cutting and grinding wheels
Vending Machine
CEM currently spends an avereage of $2000-$3000 montly, by earning more business, they can become a tier 1 customer and get more savings at better margin.
Kennels Farm
I have been dealing with Kennels Farm just resently. They seem to be a decent size farm with a potential to spend over $1000 montly. So far they have been requesting fasteners, electrical supplies, and interest in tools. The following are opportunities that have presented and that can also be pursuit:
FMI
Cutting and grinding wheels
Tools
Lubricants
Welding supplies
At this point, I am starting by bulding a relationship with the the mechanics, Sawn and Dave. They have shown a lot of interest in dealing with Fastenal since they have some experience of how Fastenals services are from working in different Farms in the past. Great opportunity to grow margin selling fasteners.
Porterdale Farms
I have been dealing with Porterdale Farms for about two months now. George is the head mechanic and so far the one that keeps control of what is needed. He likes to keep a list of supplies that he needs, and makes separate ist for each vendors. I have seen the other list of supplies they get from our competitors and is definitely a good potential to slowly take over the FMI and earn more business.
FMI
Welding
Cutting saw blades
Cutting and grinding wheels
Poterdale Farms currenly spends about $200-$400 monthly, but with a better relationship, I can see this oportunity growing, specially with FMI.
Aries Chemicals
I have been dealing with Aries Chemicals for almost a year. Although they are one of my biggest fasteners customers already, I can still see a lot of potential to growth a biger relationship, and earn more of their business. As of right now, the main supplies that they request are regular grade 5 zinc and stainless Fasteners, the following are opportunities that have
