The Notebook is a love story set in the pre and post-World War II era. It was directed by Nick Cassavetes and the main characters are Noah and Allie. They fall madly in love during one summer but Allie was from a wealthy family and her parents would not allow it. They separated from each other for fourteen years and after Noah returned home from a stint in the Army he began restoring an old farmhouse. Allie finds a newspaper article about Noah and his accomplishments and she returns to him however the problem is that she is engaged to another man. This story is told by an old man who is reading to a woman who suffers from Lon’s hair was pitch black, shiny, and rarely out of place and his clothing was impeccable and spoke of wealth. Although Allie was the love of his life he knew nothing about Noah until Allie decided to visit the old farmhouse that she and Noah and spent time in. When Lon learned of her love of another man, he became angry and threatened to kill Noah. Eventually Lon forgave Allie for being with Noah and he was willing to take her back, but in the end it was futile and he gave her up so she could be with the one she loved. During the scene of telling Lon about Noah there was low-key lighting which signified a tense dramatic scene after they argued about the way she felt about another man and the music that played out was very somber. The movie has a number of areas that were just intense with lighting, the use of different lenses, angled shots, close-ups and contrasting lighting. The facial expressions brought from the camera displayed both love and sadness which made the scenes very believable. The camera focused on the face of the characters to communicate the love for one another. Mise en scène: The physical things we see in a scene, including setting, props, costumes, actors, makeup, lighting, colors—anything that would be on the set before the camera is even brought in (Goodykoontz, 2007). As the boat enters the lake it is surrounded by white swans and very tall trees. Those trees acted as a source of protection for Noah

of Salinger’s symbols to highlight this aspect is Phoebe’s notebook. In chapter twenty-one, as Holden sneaks into Phoebe’s room, one of the first things he does is read Phoebe’s notebook. He says, “I can read that kind of stuff, some kid’s notebook, Phoebe’s or anybody’s, all day and all night long (21.16)” The point Holden is trying to get through Salinger’s symbolism is that these notebooks have nothing phony in them. Every single notebook has the person being truthful to themselves; just as Phoebe…

Group (Input, Output , Etc), Device, Requirement; then one row for each Device. Arrange your tables so that you don't leave lots of blank rows. It's not necessary to repeat the group designation for each entry. A minor thing, but it improves readability if you identify the group once and then go on and list the devices/items that belong to that group. Also, it's not necessary to try and identify how many devices you'll need. Assume that you are recommending five PCs that are all equipped the same. There…
geoscience courses. I have had students in a single class who range in age from 17 to 65, and in academic preparation may be extremely competent and motivated to very underprepared and lacking an understanding as to how to be an effective learner.
