When I was a little kid I had many impressions on other people and most of them were totally opposite of what I thought at first. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Jem had an impression on Atticus about him being too old and that he has no talent. Later in the novel he finds out that Atticus is very talented at shooting. There has been situation in my life that is similar to this story. When I was about 10 years old, I used to have a friend named Jacob. He was about 3 feet 11 and weight over 120lbs. At first when I met him, I thought that he was very slow and not active because of his appearances. I used to participate in a lot of sports and he would just sit and watch me. One day I asked him to race me and at first he said no, but then later he agreed, so we both went to a race track and we ran about 50 metres and I was surprised. Even though I won the race he was only a meter behind me and then I said to myself that I should never judge anyone by how they look. I have been through many situations like this, but the one that I can never forget is when I was 8 years old I used to have a friend named Lucas and he was actually my best friend. At first when I met Lucas I looked at him like he was my enemy. I thought that he was really mean and boring, but when years passed by I got to know him a lot more and at first I found out that he was actually really nice and cool, so I began to hang out with him a lot more. Every time I hung out with him, I was always happy and I laugh the whole time I was around him,
