He quoted the book of Deuteronomy.
4-What is the ‘first and greatest commandment’? (see Matthew 22:35-39)
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” The second part of the greatest commandment Jesus teaches which is love your neighbor as yourself.
5-What is the prayer known as which is the essence of Judaism and is recorded in Deuteronomy 6:5? (“Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One. You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, and with all of your Soul, and with all of your strength.”)

Centers on God’s love of Israel and unhappiness with the people for worshipping false gods and not responding wholeheartedly to his love. Stay faithful to the covenant.

To choose life in all that we do.
