Final research “Is Higher Education worth the Cost?”

Americans today tend to believe that college education is not an option but more so a necessity. “Why are so many parents trying to encourage their kids to attend college”? Is it because they are trying to control their lives? Or maybe it’s because they are just awful parents? I say that it’s completely the opposite of that. Parents just want what’s best for their kids; they don’t want them to have to fight the struggle of the daily grind. Nobody wants that life! She has put out 100 resumes, she says that she doesn’t want to settle for a dead end job and has been on dozens of interviews. She also stated that she been to a good school, got good grades, played a sport, did a internship and has been networking like crazy, at this point she’s despite. (14)
Although higher education could be costly, not getting an education could be extremely costly. What Alex doesn’t understand is that he doesn’t have to pay 50,000 dollars back all at once, he setup a payment plan. I think that he as well as others is just using the cost of an education as an excuse. In Graces’ situation, I can see where her frustration comes from. So I do agree with her on some points she has made. She has attended school and put in hard work, but she still hasn’t seen any results. I would be upset too, but I still have to remember that Rome wasn’t built in one day. Meaning, sometimes it takes time to be successful, but you have to remember that it’s all going to payoff in the end. We all know that the cost of a higher education isn’t cheap, but in the long run; well worth it. Despite of the high tuition fees, a college degree could lead young black men of America to a great road to success. The reason why a college education is so important is because it helps to create careers instead of jobs. Nowadays many jobs prefer a degree, which means the people with anything less than that will either get low paying jobs or no
