SIMULATION INTRODUCTION ASSIGNMENT

TO COMPLETE ON YOUR OWN DUE TUESDAY NOV 18TH AT: 9AM FOR COMPUTER PORTION MUST BE COMPLETED & AT BEGINNING OF CLASS TO TURN IN YOUR WRITE UP PORTION (NO EMAIL YOU MUST SIGN IN YOUR NAME AS WELL IN CLASS TO GET CREDIT!)

By now you should have all: purchased, installed Vleader software and created an account with password (THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE UP TO DATE). Email me ASAP in case you do not have the simulation purchased!! Be sure to mark your password down somewhere. Also be sure to be connected online to be able to upload your scores so I can access those and verify you completed each assignment BY THE DUE DATE/TIME. Please review ALL documents posted (and referred to below) in the Simulation folder on E-learning, AND the detailed updated schedule.
In case you cannot run the software on your own computer, please see at the bottom of this document* for alternative way to access the software such as on a school computer in JSOM computer lab (you should also attend the optional class on Thurs. 13th if you are having any difficulties accessing the software in the lab after trying to do so).

Direction for the Introductory Simulation Assignment 1 (25 pts)
If you do not complete by the due date you will lose up to 25pts, no make up! The goal is to get you familiar with this software and recall this is the first introductory assignment and thus a bit longer, please allow enough time to complete it (recall Thurs. 13th class is optional to give you extra time to complete the assignment you can even come with your laptop/headset and do it in class).

You may refer back to that presentation anytime you wish to. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THIS PORTION WILL MAKE UNDERSTANDING THE SIMULATION MORE CHALLENGING!
2. Upload/Print and Review How to Use the SimuLearn Simulator Interface pdf document posted on elearning.
3. Upload your Student Workbook posted on elearning: Print only pages 6-10. Follow direction on page 6, as explained you will:
a. Verify that you already registered for an account http://data.simulearn.net, purchased the simulation (DO NOT RE-PURCHASE contact me if you need help!), download the simulation and install it. As well there you can change your profile information (best to leave all the options to default).
b. Computer portion: Launch VLeader software, Log in, Complete the Learning the Principles, that is complete Exercise 1 to 4 (about 60 minutes) By Nov. 18th 8am. You will get to familiarize yourself with the simulation and software. You may also revisit this module at anytime later, but at least you must complete it all once! If you run into some issue feel free to email me. It should be fairly straight forward and user friendly.
c. Write up portion: Read and answer all the questions BEST YOU CAN FROM page 6-10 BRING THIS TO CLASS WE WILL GO OVER IT TOGETHER (so no worries if you could not answer everything just give it a try!) BUT YOU MUST TURN THIS IN CLASS SO DON’T FORGET TO LIST YOUR NAME AT THE TOP!
