EVOLUTION OF MANAGEMENT

1910’s- The theory that was brought into that time period was the General Administrative theory and this theory occurred during the same period of time as the Scientific Management Era. The inventors that used these theories were: Henry Gantt, Frederick, and Hugo Munsterberg. Henry Fayol was the man who pioneered the theory.

1920’s- The theory that was brought into this time period is the Human Behavior. The various behavior dynamics that managers were encouraged to understand and introduce to the workforce in a positively manner turned out to be created by Mary Parker Follett.

1924’s- In the 1924’s to 1932 there were studies being conducted on the employees while they worked at the Electric Company. This type of testing was designed to examine the working conditions of why the employees were getting so fatigue during their productivity. The test showed that decreased level of the moonlight illuminations decreased the employees’ level of productivity.

The difference between all three types of theories is the facts of the Specific way they chose to do their work. Basically, for the Era of 1910, they chose to do thing the scientific way or by science. In the 1920’s they chose to do things by the human behavior. And that last test they chose to do was illumination.

How can you best define folk, ragtime, jazz, rock, pop, and hip hop music?
FOLK- is defined as music that originates in a traditional part of a popular culture or that is written in such a style.
RAG-TIME- is an original musical genre which enjoyed its peak popularity between 1897 and 1918. Its primary singer/ player was Scott Joplin
JAZZ-a music genre that originated at the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States
POP- music of general appeal to teenagers, a bland watered-down version of Rock'n'Roll with more rhythm and harmony and an emphasis on the younger culture.
HIP-HOP-is a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming
