Remember that Axia has very strict plagiarism polices and very thorough tools for plagiarism detection. Including a comparison tool that allows the facilitators to compare student papers against each other.

From WritePoint - New Plagiarism Checker Information

Plagiarism:
The Plagiarism Checker promotes originality in student work and prevents plagiarism, either inadvertent or intentional. Both students and faculty can submit papers to the plagiarism system, and those submissions are checked against the following sources:

STUDENTS: Papers are checked against sources on the Internet, Gale PowerSearch periodical database, some research publishing groups, and a common database of papers acquired by Turnitin.com.

FACULTY: In addition to the sources above, the Plagiarism Checker also validates against a collection of University of Phoenix and Axia student papers previously submitted by other instructors. Content from other papers is flagged as non-original, and the tool provides a link to the original source.

Why are students not able to check their papers against other students' papers? If there was a match to another student's paper, one student might be able to see identifying information about another student (i.e., name). To protect student privacy per FERPA, we do not allow students to check for plagiarism against other students' papers.

DO NOT SIMPLY REWORD MY ASSIGNMENT AND TURN IT IN AS YOUR OWN!!!!!!

You will be caught and we will both suffer the severe consequences.

Reviewing another person’s work is a useful tool to aid learning, using another person’s work as your own eliminates learning entirely.

Informational Control 1
400 – 1500 A.D. In the Middle Ages when printed text began to emerge, there were only religious and philosophical writings. The clergy created the material, and so they retained control over what was written and printed. Depending upon what religious sect had fashioned the text, only their view would be expressed, and only their belief was shared and openly accepted. As these works were exceptionally difficult, and elaborate to produce, they were usually only acquired by the wealthy. At that time, the wealthy consisted of the Church, the royalty, and the extremely successful merchant class. The average shopkeeper could never have afforded to own a book, and the lowly barmaid would never have been allowed to read one.
1453 – 1600 After the invention of the printing press, the reach of printed text extended further
