Letter to the chief

I was hunting with my friends near the sea when in the distance I spotted three large and strange structures in the middle of the water. We waited and watched as they drew closer and closer and finally stopped on the shore near where we had been hunting. The boats were much larger up close and on them were so many people. They wore strange clothing, had odd colored skin and spoke with words that did not make sense to any of us. We stayed down and observed them from afar as they tied down their giant boats and marked things down on small canvases in their hands. These people are unlike anything I have seen, they are clothed, their faces have so much hair, and they’re white as the foam from the sea! We decided they looked harmless enough to at least try to talk to. We got closer, and as we did, began to notice them unloading odd wooden rods with points and long silver poles that all seemed to be weapons. At this point we approached with caution and bows ready to fire should we need to, I was firs to come out into the clearing and try to speak with the people. They at first recognized me as a hostile, but the man in charge had them lower their weapons. The rest joined me as we tried to communicate with the white skinned men and they showed us how to make markings with feathers and black water on their strange canvases.
