Bill of Rights
Ten Amendments in the United States of America’s constitution when it first started, then the government ratified and now there are 27. But some are more or less important than one another. Amendment 8 is all about excessive bail, fines, and unusual punishments. This amendment is not really used for a typical average person. It allows a relative or friend who wants to pay the bond of an inmate to use a car or house. If the car is worth $10,000 and the bail is $10,000 then the car can be the bond. Amendment eight is the least important out of all the others, because it is just used for bails, inmates who have a bond, and it is not used in an everyday life around regular people. This amendment only really applies for a prisoner

The 8th amendment is the least important, but to some it is the only thing for them. If there was no such amendment then prisoners may get tortured or have their bail set to 1 billion. And without this prisons would be filled to the max because no one can pay their bond because there is not one set in place. In an inmates eye the 8th amendment is hope to them and can get them out before the court day to be free a little if they can pay the price of the bonds. This is why the 8th amendment is still a thing till this day, but it is not as important. The 8th amendment is the difference between being fined for possessing marijuana and having your hands cut off for the same crime twice. (DiGiorgio, “Why is the 8th amendment important”). If the 8th amendment was not an amendment at all or thought of just imagine what prison would be going through. The prisons would be full with people and mayhem. Maybe judges making cruel punishments, giving everyone life time sentences or getting a $1,000,000 fine for possessing an un-lisenced firearm. But there is some downfalls into having this amendment just like losing the money that was used for bail because the person didn’t show for the court date. Also just like having poor people from poor families in prison can be a big factor. If the families cannot pay for the bail and the inmate has a large serving time he might die. Having these opinions, ideas, and thoughts are relatable and can mean many different things some may want the 8th amendment gone and some may want it to
