Confidentiality
All topics discussed with the therapist are legally confidential. Nothing mentioned in therapy will be released to a third party without the written consent of the client. However, there are some exceptions to the rule. Confidentiality will be broken if the client is a threat to themselves or others, such as self-harm, suicidal behaviors and thoughts, or premeditated murder. Confidentiality will as well be broken if child abuse or neglect is suspected, elder/dependent adult abuse or neglect is suspected, or if there are legal matters involved.
Therapist Availability
Consultations between sessions are accepted although it will be noted that they will remain short because issues are more properly address when dealt with in regular scheduled sessions. If there is a necessity to leave a message, you may leave a brief message in the therapist confidential voicemail at (777) (444-4444). If you wish for your therapist to return your call, make sure you leave a name and number and the reason for your call at the number provided. If message are not urgent, they will be returned on regular working hour days, Monday thru Friday 8am -5pm.
Fee and Fee Arrangements
Each session there is a fee of $140, where you have consented to pay. Checks, cash, and credit cards are accepted and for any returned check, there will be a $30 fee added to the original amount. Each session will last anywhere from one hour to and hour and a half.
Insurance
Insurance is accepted when the insurance company of the client covers all expenses of therapy being performed in session, therapy is medically necessary, or if the insured client is referred by their primary physician. If in any case the full payment of the therapy session is not covered by the insurance company, the client will be responsible for the remaining balance of therapy.
Termination of Therapy
At anytime you may choose to terminate your therapy. If there is a reason for you or the therapist to conclude that you are not profiting from therapy sessions, you or the therapist may choose to discontinue therapy. Options for treatment will be discussed with your therapist that
