“We all dream a lot - some are lucky, some are not. But if you think it, want it, dream it, then it’s real. You are what you feel.” - Tim Rice
The Rest of My Life When I was younger my mother always told me I would be excellent at being a doctor. My father always told me I would be superior at being a software engineer, like he is. I always told myself I wanted to be an astronaut and travel to the moon like Neil Armstrong had once done. Things change and people change; I completely changed my mind when I started thinking about college and my future. I felt confused and stressed when thinking of which career to pursue. Environmental science and biochemistry is what I had in mind. In Dr. Kumar says you need at least a 4.0 grade point average in high school to get into a good college/medical school. You have to be the top ten percent of your class. I know I can accomplish that with hard work and commitment. I’m accomplishing this now by working hard in school and getting good grades to lay a foundation for the rest of my life. Dr. Kumar majored in biology, chemistry, and physics in college. When I asked him what classes I should take in high school if I choose to pursue this career, he said “Math is very important, as well as organic chemistry, and biology.” The chances of making it into this field are pretty thin, especially in the bay area. I think the interview went great and Dr. Pradeep Kumar helped me loads. I felt confused as to why these cardiologists are so busy, but I found out later. It was beneficial to be sitting down with a cardiologist in his office and to get a feel of what they go through every day. The answers Dr. Kumar gave me made it worth my time and effort. I learned the things I need to be successful as a cardiologist and I learned to be determined. My next step in my I-Search journey is to interview a second cardiologist. This time with additional questions to really get a feel of what it’s like to be a cardiologist. I learned so much from this interview and hope to learn all the more from my next interview.

When I was first assigned to write about online communities I thought the first thing I need to find out is, "What is an online community?" I was told online communities are places where people come together and communicate online. After I found out what online communities are I had somewhere to start, know the question is "What is my online community experience?" That is not a hard question being that I do not have much experience with online communities. My computer experience is somewhat limited…
The topic I chose to research is metaphors in the work of Langston Hughes. I started my process off by choosing four pieces of his work to reference from. After knowing the specific pieces I wanted to use, I begin looking for sources on the Galileo database on the Savannah State University website. I didn’t use any outside sources to conduct my research. This is my second time using the Galileo database to construct a research paper, so it became easier to do this time. I was able to put together…

In the general World Wide Web there are no editors (unlike most print publications) to proofread and "send it back" or "reject it" until it meets the standards of a publishing house's reputation. Most pages found in general search engines for the web are self-published or published by businesses small and large with motives to get you to buy something or believe a point of view. Even within university and library web sites, there can be many pages that the institution does…
