My name is Kathy and I would like to introduce you to my student Tommy Lore. I am Tommy’s mom. Our household consists of my husband and me, Tommy, his older brother Nick and Rascal the cat.
Sports and academics have always been priorities in his life. Tommy has participated in a variety of team sports. (Baseball, Soccer, Basketball) However, participation is secondary to school work. He has been able to maintain a high grade point average along with his extracurricular activities. (With help and guidance from Mom and Dad.)
He currently plays varsity Basketball for Grossmont. He has many friends who play varsity sports while maintaining high GPA’s. (Several are in this class)
Math has always been his favorite subject. He usually is in the top math class for his grade level. Last year he began joining study groups with some of his friends, which really helped him grasp new concepts. I would like to see him work hard for an A in the class, but would not be disappointed with a B if he really gave it his best effort.
Tommy is pretty quiet and thoughtful; although he will argue a disputed point if he feels he is right. He appreciates knowing exactly what he needs to do and when it needs to be done. He is a planner and doesn’t like surprises. He has a dry sense of humor and can be sarcastic when he is trying to be funny. He very rarely loses or forgets anything and will not hesitate to help someone in need. I think he knows most of the statistics for every
