In this research, six points about the fall of Vietnam include I how the war begins II killing III fight in the jungle IV Why they fought in the jungle V Government. VI how the war ended
The war begins in 1954 and ended 1975 between the South Vietnam and North Vietnam the war was the longest conflict ever. (Gavin 17) “It began in March 1965 south Vietnam”. (Gavin 2) North Vietnam was confident about defeating the Americans. (Gavin 4) However the Americans and the South Vietnam was, assure that they were going to defeat the North Vietnam. (Gavin 13) During the war, more than 3 million people were killed. (Gavin 6) Half of them were civilians from the country. “Nearly 250,000 Vietnamese soldiers were killed and (Gavin 15) approximately 400,000 civilian were murdered”. On the other hand, (Gavin 17) there was the conflict between the French and the Vietnamese. (Szczepanski 2) Which it began in December 19, 1946 thirty thousand Vietnamese attacked the French they fought for almost ten years.(Gavin 30) Many people were murder.” The conflict pitted a range of actors, including the French Union's French Far East Expeditionary corps, led by France and supported by Emperor Bảo Đại's Vietnamese National Army against the Việt Minh, led by Hồ Chí Minh and Võ Nguyên Giáp. Most of the fighting took place in Tonkin in Northern Vietnam, although the conflict engulfed the entire country and extended into the neighboring French Indochina protectorates of Laos and Cambodia.”(Gavin 15). “They also faced an anti-communist coalition made up of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam), the United States, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Laos”. (Szczepanski 2).
However, (Gavin 2) they murdered many people in (Vietnam war 9) “South Vietnam - approximately 300,000 Soldiers dead, up to 3,000,000 civilians North Vietnam Viet Cong approximately 1,100,000 soldiers dead, up to 2,000,000 civilians” (Szczepanski). “Civilians on either side were not spare -- close to 5 million civilians were killed, the Southern population suffering more than the North. Civilians from surrounding countries such as Cambodia and Laos were also murder in the thousands”. (Vietnam War 2). “More than 1 million soldiers of the Viet Cong were killed in the War” (Vietnam War 2). The American death was 47,410. (Vietnam War) “The U.S. helped non-Communist South Vietnam fight invasion by Communist North Vietnam”. (Vietnam War 5) “Five men killed in Vietnam were only 16 years old”.(Gavin 5) That was the problem of the War , because they were using little children to attack U.S.A. that was one of the reason why the Americans did not want to attack them.(Gavin 2) The South Vietnamese did want to do want to attack them.
However, (Gavin 31) North Vietnamese did. Not only they had more strategies but and were using little kids to fight them. (Vietnam war 5) says, “There was an evolution of events which led to U. S. troops fighting in the jungle in Vietnam. Officially it was 1967 when Operation Cedar Falls Began. In a major ground war effort dubbed Operation Cedar Falls, about 16,000 US and 14,000 South Vietnamese troops set out to destroy Vietcong operations and supply sites near Saigon. A Massive system of tunnels is discovered in an area called the Iron Triangle, an apparent headquarters for Vietcong personnel”.
How, (Vietnam War) says, “The Communists succeeded in Vietnam; in 1954, with the decisive Viet Minh victory at the battle of Dien Bien Phu, French forces surrendered and agreed to a set of treaties. In these Geneva Accords, the French accepted the Viet Minh's demands to evacuate all troops from Vietnam”.
How, (Vietnam War 3) says “the Vietnam War ended with the fall of Saigon on April 30th 1975. The Viet Cong gained control of this city, which
