1. Introduction on Bridgeport
Bridgeport, in the Connecticut, is the most populous city. It is located in Fairfield County Pequannock River and Long Island. The city in the 2010 U.S. Census is estimated population of 144,229 in the large Bridgeport area of the core. The city is the Greater New York City Combined Area. It is the fifth largest city in New England (behind Boston, Worcester, Providence, and Springfield). Bridgeport, second only to Hartford, which is the 48th largest in the United States city of regional centers. Most of Bridgeport was originally a part of the township Stratford.
English colonists began to settle along the Pequannock River in 1639. After a quick purchase of land from Paugussett family, Settlement becomes a trade, shipbuilding and whaling center. In the mid-19th century, the village's rapid industrialization, attracting more and more factories working immigrants. Until after World War II, the industry remains strong. Industrial restructuring and suburbanization have lot of work and damage caused by wealthy residents to leave Bridgeport struggling with poverty. In the 21st century, this city is converted to residential, office and other redevelopment to attract new residents.
For Bridgeport cultural activities, there are some venues living theater and music events, ranging from intimate performance space rock concert held in the stadium. Meanwhile, the bridge has been the annual family gatherings resonance, weekend arts, music and camping festival some of the best talent in the festival's name. In 1999, 2000 and 2007 to 2010, thousands of people from around the world camp Waterfront Park.
