It comprises three main territories in Hong Kong which are Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and New Territories. Hong Kong Island is an island that located in the southern part of Hong Kong. It has a population approximately of 1,289,599 people. The Kowloon is located northern part of the main landmass in Hong Kong. It also called New Kowloon. Kowloon is an urban area Hong Kong. It has population of 2,019,533. New Territories is a main region of the three regions in Hong Kong. It makes up almost 86.2% of Hong Kong’s territory. It has a population of 3,691,093 peoples.

In Hong Kong, the official languages are the English and Chinese (Cantonese), English became the sole official language of Hong Kong because Hong Kong was a colony of British before 1997. English and Cantonese are both under Hong Kong Basic Law and the official language ordinance Law. For Cantonese speaker, 97% of the population in Hong Kong, it is originating from Guangzhou in China. It is the main variety used in education, broadcasting, government administration, legislature and judiciary in daily social communication.

Hong Kong has Special Administrative Region status which is provided constitutional guarantees for implementing the policy of “One country, two systems”.
