Gay marriage is becoming more and more accepting in the United States. Many believe that being gay is wrong while others believe that being homosexual is something that just happens. There's is no wrong in being homosexual and everyone should be accepted without being judged on their race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual preferences. Everyone is human we all have a beating heart and a brain so we should all be accepted and thought of as equals. The first amendment secures the fact that Americans as a whole have the right to be homosexual if we choose to be. Everyone has very different beliefs on what is right and what is wrong.
There's a 'religious group' that petitions very heavily against homosexual marriage and homosexual relationships in general. This religious group is very disrespectful. They often petition at soldiers and service men's funerals saying 'god hates fags' and equally spiteful words. They parade around with their posters saying hateful comments and hurtful words. No body wants them around saying those things especially at a funeral for a fallen service man but like homosexuals they are also protected under the first Amendment because freedom of religion and petition.

098 05/05/10 Homosexual Marriages Homosexual unions have never been so discussed as they have been in the last decades. The argument is mainly whether the term "marriage" should be applied, considering the social and legal changes it would imply. Nowadays, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Norway, Sweden and South Africa are the only countries in which the legal status of same-sex marriages is exactly the same as that of opposite-sex marriages. The granting of same-sex marriages is also being…
Gay Marriage America; the first thing that should come to your mind is a nation of Equality and Peace. But it's not, is it? We live in a nation of racism, sexism, and homophobia. Homosexuals get the worst of all the unfair treatment. Homosexuals have been fighting for rights since the 1960's, maybe even before then, and yet today in 2013, those pleas for rights go unheard. I believe that we should allow same-sex marriage because banning it is unfair, marriage is about love, and marriage isn’t about…
I am studying same-sex marriage while using the history, legal situations, biological research, and Christian scriptural context relating to same-sex marriage as a lens to find out why Americans oppose same sex marriage. In doing so I will help my reader better understand why same-sex marriage should be legal. The saying, “never judge a book by its cover” is a saying that most mothers have used. Therefore when it comes to the topic of same-sex marriage, my mother always judged the book by its cover…
same-sex marriage be legalized in Hong Kong? In recent years, more homosexual people have come out to disclose their sexual orientation. Gays and lesbians may even feel pride and have higher self-esteem instead of having shame. People in Hong Kong generally are more open-minded now. There is no legal recognition of same-sex marriage in Hong Kong. In many countries or regions, the legalization of same-sex marriage is already implemented. Therefore, some may say that same-sex marriage should be…
Legalizing Gay Marriage Research Paper Same-sex marriage is one of the most controversial and heated debates in the United States. Legal marriage brings with it serious obligations. It also brings significant legal benefits for married couples: health insurance benefits, shared pension rights, tax advantages, adoption and inheritance rights, and much more. This is what many homosexuals are working so hard on; trying to persuade society for what should be basic rights. They go through everyday getting…
Legalize Gay Marriage Yes or No? Same sex marriage (also known as gay marriage) is marriage between two people of the same sex or gender. January 1, 1973 Maryland was the first to ban same sex marriage which totally reached the USA by 1994. By May 17, 2004 there was one state to legalize gay marriage which was Massachusetts. Well as of now there are 9 states that have legalized gay marriage. I believe gay marriage should be legal because everyone should be treated equal and have certain rights…
McArdle Gay Marriage As of September 12, 2012, 11 out of 194 countries allow same - sex marriage and 41 states that have banned same – sex marriage. Homosexuals are no different from heterosexuals in my mind; people are people. Some scientists think that people become gay because of a gene. People are people and should all have the same rights and be able to get married. There is a law that says there needs to be a separation between church and state. If people say that homosexuals shouldn’t get…
Same Sex Marriage What is true love without marriage? Imagine falling in love with someone who is kind, patient, caring and very loving and compassionate. You dream of getting married and spending the rest of your life in true testament to your love and dedication to each other. Most people grow up with the vision of two people of the opposite sex getting married. The normal progression would be to get engaged, get married, have a family and live happily-ever after. However, Homosexual couples…
Gay Marriage The foundation of the term “marriage” is strictly about love, not gender or sex. Same sex marriage should be legalized because not only is it immoral to prevent loving couples to be legally bound to one another, it is completely unconstitutional. Before one makes his or her opinion on gay marriage, one should keep an open mind and analyze all of the pros before merely writing off the lifestyle of a homosexual. We need to understand that the only change that will occur if homosexuals…
Same-Sex Marriage A love marriage is a marriage of two individuals based upon mutual love, affection, commitment and attraction. Homosexuals are being denied the right to marry just because they love some one of the same gender in America the supposed land of the free. Why is this right denied, because of hate, prejudice, and old beliefs? Same-Sex marriage is important because people should have the right to marry who they love whether they're of the same gender, stripped, and etc. Homosexual couples…
