Hello everyone my name is Tamara Vaughn, I am 33 years old, and married with 3 children. I have worked in the network field for eleven years now, and enjoy learning new technology. The main reason for my return to college is, I need to further my education for a better life for me. I went to my oldest sons boot camp graduation from the USMC, and it was there watching him succeed one of his toughest goals, and I thought, have I done all I needed to do in my life? The answer was no. I needed to do more, and I am able to do more. I have always believe I wanted more, but never had the burn to do so. I had a recent interview at work and was denied a job I could clearly do, but because I didn't have a degree such as the other individual had, I was passed by. The crazy thing was I didn't even want the job I was just curious on outcome. The way it made me feel is what gave me the ambition, and determination to go back to school. I don’t want to spoil my first year back in college by adding any doubt, so only positive thoughts are in the air for this student. My favorite saying is, words are just empty air without determination feed by action. When I was 15 years old I had my son Alex. I know it was a poor choice I made in my life, but I never let it define me, though there was always the nay sayer's that would say your life is over, you will never finish school, and you will never amount to nothing. I used that negative into a positive, and I was a graduate ahead of my high school, I went to college for a year, and I have a good carrier, but I need more. Finishing what I started back in 1998 (college). I found something that I always had but held deep inside, it was determination. My son always looked up to me as a child, but now I see a reverse role as I am
