Founded in 1945, Kaiser Permanente is one of the top health care providers in the nation. During the late 1930s and 1940s, Kaiser Permanente evolved from industrial health care programs for construction, shipyard, and steel mill workers for the Kaiser industrial companies. Kaiser is largest not-for-profit health plan, serving approximately nine million members. Kaiser Permanente is administered throughout eight regions in United States, including the District of Columbia. The headquarters is located in Oakland, California. However, Kaiser has thirty-seven hospitals and five hundred and eighty eight medical workplace structures. This Organization is made up of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and their subsidiaries, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., and The Permanente Medical Groups (Wolf, Hanson & Moir, 2011). At the top of the Kaiser Permanente Organization is Bernard J. Tyson. The National Leaders are Jack Cochran, Gregory A. Adams, Benjamin K. Chu, Philip Fasano, Kathy Lancaster, Donna Lynne, Arthur M. Southam, Anthony A. Barrueta, Raymond J. Baxter, Chuck Columbus, Amy Compton-Phillips, Patrick T. Courneya, Daniel P. Garcia, Chris Grant, Scott Young, and Mark S. Zemelman. Telles, First, Kaiser usually has its hospitals located in areas where there is a little resource location hence the people living in those areas need help. The organization also finds it location in places where there is low awareness in terms of health care and this is the reason why the organization has its hospitals in areas where people really need health care assistance. Next, Kaiser Permanente Organization Southern California (Riverside County) is where I am a member. The general total population surrounding Kaiser is 2,189,641. The population by sex and age is 1,089,576 and female 1,100,065. Population by Ethnicity: Hispanic or Latino 995,257 and Non-Hispanic or Latino 1, 194.257. Population by Race: White 1, 335, 147, Africa America 140, 543, Asian 130,468, American Indian and Alaska Native 23,710, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander 6,874 and by Population: Other identified by two or more is 104,664.
On November 19, 2013, Kaiser Permanente did get an attribute for wonderful Heart Attack, Stroke Care. The organization was awarded with Right Care Initiative Silver Award. Kaiser Permanente Organization provides 2,140 types of surgeries. Some of the surgeries include bunion surgery, mastectomy and cosmetic surgery. There are 1, 365 patient care services Kaiser which included but not limited to preventive care services, infant and prenatal care services and vaccination services. There are also other services like emergency care services to the patients, screening analysis, hospital and health checkup services and pharmacy services.
Fortunately, the strengths of Kaiser Permanente Organization are numerous but the most important of them is that the organization has allowed a payment estimator system that is set in as incorporation, multi-function of the user portal of the organization. The allowed payment amounts are availed to over 350 health checkup services in three different languages to particular regions where the organization has branches. This makes it easier for a person to come up with the services that he or she wants to be provided
