On July 20, 2012, a college dropout, James Eagan Holmes, opened fire on a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, killing 12 and wounding 58. After this event a lot of media blamed guns for the twelve deaths. However, on October 18, 2012 a 22-year old woman shot a pair of home invaders who were in possession of a firearm. After this event, the coverage was pathetic. To one person—the liberal—guns are negative; to them, guns are evil, demonic instruments of death, which have no place here in society. Through these lessons they respect others and do more as a family. The next distinction is how the liberal and the conservative view guns. To the liberal, guns kill people. Also he feels guns are so complex that special training is necessary to use them properly and should only be used by the professionals. He feels that guns kill people and at the end of the day, dangerous guns become even more dangerous when they plummet into the wrong hands. But to the conservative, guns don’t kill people; people kill people. To them, shooting a gun exists as a sport—hunting, competitive shooting, and the Olympics. Among these sports are average everyday people, which have friendly competitions with each other.
Finally, the best distinction between liberal and conservative is how
