Our planet, Earth is much like a home but we never care to look after it like our homes. We utilize its resources, we pollute it with waste or trash, and we never think what things will be like in the coming days or future. Those concerned about the environment don't have to be an eco-warrior or a world leader to join the fight to preserve the environment. The environment has the responsibility of each individual on this planet. Each of us should do our best to preserve the environment and save the Earth .If we take the time to change a few small behaviors, we can make a difference collectively. Organic farming generates a lot of intense debate. Despite a few studies suggesting that conventional agriculture might be more energy efficient for certain foods. In America alone, the agriculture industry is estimated to use over 800 million pounds of conventional pesticides each year, and globally over 160 million tons of conventional fertilizer each year. In a decades-long study of staple crops grown on adjacent fields by the Rodale Institute, organic methods required less energy to produce corn and drew. By the end of the experiment, the nutrients in the organic soil had substantially increased, while the conventional fields had stayed the same or had been depleted. Mass commercial farming destroys environments. Organic farmers, preserve biodiversity, and use natural manure and fertilizer that enrich the soil. When we buy organic, we’re supporting these environmental efforts (and getting healthier, tastier food). Whether that means living on a sustainable organic farm, building a chicken coop in your backyard, or even just growing herbs on the windowsill of your suburban homes these are the step you take will reduce your negative impact on the world. At our current population levels, there isn’t enough organic produce and pasture-raised livestock to go around for absolutely everyone, but that doesn’t mean we should forgo our health and simply continue the downward spiral. It means we should support our local farms so they can flourish
Electricity generation is the leading cause of industrial air pollution in the U.S. Most of our electricity comes from coal, nuclear, and other non-renewable power plants. Producing energy from these resources takes a severe toll on our environment, polluting our air, land, and water. Take for example the BP oil spill, In the BP Oil Spill, more than 200 million gallons of crude oil was pumped into the Gulf of Mexico for a total of 87 days, making it the biggest oil spill in U.S. history. Renewable energy sources can be used to produce electricity with fewer environmental impacts. Renewable energy also provides environmental benefits such as helping to improve air quality and reducing our impact on the land, water and climate system. No other energy source can provide all these benefits. Fossil fuels also have a main part in this too. Not only are they damaging our earth but they are coasting more and more to extract. Extracting fuel will become more dangerous as the mines get deeper or the oil-rigs go further out to sea.
