Gloves

AR 670-1 This regulation prescribes the authorization for wear, composition, and classification of uniforms, and the occasions for wearing all personal, optional, and commonly worn organizational Army uniforms. It also prescribes the awards, insignia, and accouterments authorized for wear on the uniform, and how these items are worn. General information is also provided on the authorized material, design, and uniform quality control system. That is the regulation that states when, where, why, and how a solider is supposed to wear the army uniform. The gloves are part of your winter uniform and also part of your PPE personal protective equipment. The purpose of the gloves are to keep your hands warm if it’s cold, or to keep your hands dry if it’s raining, or to keep you from getting burned or frost bite if it’s cold outside. And if for some reason a solider does not have a certain piece of equipment they should ask a battle buddy to borrow there extra set or they need to go purchase a new or used set. Soldiers purchasing uniforms, uniform items, or heraldic items from establishments other than the AMCSS must ensure that the items are authorized for wear and that they conform to appropriate military specifications or are manufactured in accordance with the UQCP or the heraldic quality control system. When items appear deficient, soldiers should submit a SF 368 through their servicing MCSS, where forms are available. Commercially purchased items that are authorized for wear in lieu of military-issue items must conform to the basic specification of the military-issue item, unless otherwise specified in this regulation. Also if the commander wants everyone to look the same as a company then he can tell the platoon Sargent’s to put it out that everyone will or will not be wearing a certain item of clothing. The regulation on gloves states- Gloves, black, with inserts, unisex, leather shell. (1) Type. The gloves are clothing bag issue items. (2) Description. The gloves are a five-finger design in a slip-on style. An adjustable strap and buckle is provided on the back of the gloves. The inserts are black wool and are worn inside the black leather shell gloves. There is no wear-out date for the green wool inserts, which may be worn until stocks are exhausted or until unserviceable.(3) How worn.
