“Distance is just a word”, through globalization we are condensing our ways and making the life of each other much easier. Globalization has its own positive impact on the developing countries around the globe. In the past decades or so, countries like India, china, Brazil and many more have emerged tremendously with a great economic capability through globalization. As the world is progressing, we are automatically connected with each other through the global market. The use of Internet and telecommunication is increasing which is cutting through the distance between people living in Asia to the people living in North America. This essay will explore that how interdependence is playing its role in this developing world and in the commerce of good and services. 1
The term interdependent means a relationship in which each member is mutually dependent on others. This concept is different from the dependent relationship, where some members are dependent and some are not. In an interdependent relationship, each member is economically, emotionally connected with each other. Interdendence refers to a condition, a state affair. It can increase, it has doing on most dimensions since the end of World War 2, or it can decline, as it did at least in the economic term, during the great depression of the 1930s. (Keohane, Robert and Joseph Nye (2000). Globalization: What’s New? What’s Not? (And so what), Dimension of globalism pp.104-105)
On the other hand, the term globalization refers to International integration arising from the interchange of worldviews, products idea etc. The advance of communication, transportation, telecommunication, and infrastructure are the example of globalization. Globalization implies to something is increasing. Hence, the definition doesn’t start with globalization but with “ Globalism ”, A condition that can increase or decrease. The author believes that Globalization does not imply universally. The good example of it is more than quarter of the population of US used the World Wide Web compared to point one population of South Asia. (Keohane, Robert and Joseph Nye (2000). Globalization: What’s New? What’s Not? (And so what), pp.106-107). People in South Asia and Africa are entirely not doing what the other half of the world is exploiting. (globalissues.org/article/4/poverty-around-the-world). Rich is getting richer while poor is getting poorer. Most people in the world doesn’t have the excess of communication, hundred of them have only a television at home with a little bit of connection with the world. Rather the fact that the rural areas of Southern Asia and Africa are not quite getting the buzz of globalization, the other forms of globalization are playing a vital role for the better ties between the countries. Some of the key aspects of globalization are:
Economic globalism: The increasing of global activity, movement of trade and the integration of financial market often count as economic globalism.
Environmental globalism: Environmental globalization refers to the long distance transport of good and materials through atmosphere and ocean. Some scholars believe that globalization is changing the global environment. While the environment globalism is reaching every part of the world, it is now deviating some of the main issues as well. 2 Social Globalization: Social globalization refers to the life, work of people, social activity, and religion of one individual.
Complex interdependence would be one in which the interdependencies between states
