5) Perths weather from the 6th-12 was quite warm with the highest being a 37.3 degree day on the 8th. From the 8th onwards it continued to be quite hot in the mid thirties before cooling back down on the 12th to 24 degrees. The minimum temperature for the second week of April was 15.9 degrees on the 9th. Generally, the temperatures stayed around the high 10's but hit the 20's on the 11th and 12th. Other that entire week there was no rain except on the Thursday and Friday where there was 0.2mm and 0.4mm of rain. Everyday at 3o'clock the wind direction was different but the wind speed stayed around 10km/h but there were a few stronger days where we hit 15km/h. The air pressure varied from 1011nPa to 1014nPa but there was quite alot of humidity throughout the week.
6) Over the week that we collected data about, the rainfall was below but near normal April average. The maximum temperatures were high above average and had some of the hotter days on record, also the minimum temperatures were the warmest on record, not dropping down very low.
8) In Melbourne, majority of the days the temperature was high with little or no rain. But on the 8th of April the temperature hit a high of 23.3 degrees and the most rainfall all week came with 5.2mm. In Brisbane the temperatures were fairly average through the week, staying around 23 to 25 degrees. The rainfall on the 6th had the highest all week with 2.0mm of rain. Sydney’s max temperature was 26 degrees with no rain at all that day. Through the whole week there was a lot of rainfall. Darwin had very hot temperatures throughout that whole week with absolutely no rainfall.

9 a) During every hour of the day the earth is radiating out toward space, this is called the cooling process of the earth. During the day time, areas exposed to the sun are receiving its intense energy being sent out. These areas experience warming, as the energy received from the sun exceeds the energy lost to space .This warming continues until the sun’s energy is no longer strong enough to counteract the earth’s cooling- which usually occurs between 3-6pm. After those hours, the earths cooling overpower the sun’s heat and the temperature drops.

9 b) Places with high altitudes tend to have a colder climate than places with the lower altitudes who have the hotter climate. This is because the higher altitude makes them further away from the equator making it cold but being at a lower altitude place that puts you closer to the equator therefore, hotter.
