Signs and symptoms of autism
Autism is a developmental disorder that can cause problems with social interaction, language skills and physical behaviour. People with autism may also be more sensitive to everyday information. To people with the condition the world can appear hectic with no clear boundaries and no order or meaning. People with autism may not speak. But they may use things like pictures or sign language to communicate, they may not understand what other people say, they may copy what other people say., They may only talk about their favourite subject, they may not take part in games or activities with other people, they may like to play the same game or do the same thing every day, they may be very interested in one thing and know a lot about it, they may be good at remembering information and they may do well at school, college and work.
An explanation of the techniques
Art therapy helps individuals be creative and providing a wide range of art supplies and projects. Research has proven that art making has a positive impact on pain management, depression, anxiety, and stress reduction. Art has served as a healing tool, helping with self-awareness and coping skills. The creative process involved in making art is healing, enjoyable. They help their clients find an outlet for often complex and confusing emotions, which they may not be able to express verbally. They also help with self-awareness and confidence. Part of an art therapist role is to find ways of working with clients in different environments. This may include providing a secure environment and a variety of art materials to those who cannot speak, allowing the art itself to become a valuable means of communication.
Principles of administration
Art therapy is a therapy through paint, drawing and just been creative it help people communicate with others though the creative side, it helps to relies stress and it also help people to express they emotions, which is really good because some people with autism can’t express they verbal, it also help to calm people down.
