In Hindu culture, there are many famous rivers that we hold dear because of their spiritual significance. Ganga is one of them. Let's take a closer look at where this great river starts from.
It all begins at the Gangotri Glacier, a huge area of ice (five by fifteen miles), at the foothills of the Himalayas (13,000 ft) in northern Uttar Pradesh. This glacier is the source of the river Bhagirathi, which joins with the river Alaknanda to form the might river Ganga at the rocky canyon-carved town of Devprayag.
The Ganges basin is India's widest and most heavily populated region. In the western part of the Gangetic Plain, the river provides water for crops through a wide canal
Christian groups have tried to reach out to Hindus in Varanasi, a city with Christian fellowships. Other believers have gone to Varanasi and Allahabad to worship the Lord and pray for the Hindus who come with high hopes of spiritual enlightenment.

Pray that such efforts will break through deception so that pious and well-meaning Hindus will find that Jesus holds the answer for their spiritual quests.

Omo Tribe:
The Omo River tribes are masters of living in the vast open area of Ethiopia. They have evolved with the African landscape to be able to live there. I would suggest watching the program on NatGeo Wild, Africa's great Riffs. The three part program will explain a lot as to how man has come to be on this planet.
The lower valley of the Omo is currently believed by some to have been a crossroads for thousands of years as various cultures and ethnic groups migrated around the region.[citation needed] To this day, the people of the Lower Valley of the Omo, including the Mursi, Suri, Nyangatom, Dizi and Me'en, are studied for their diversity.[4]
In the Omo Valley of Southern Ethiopia live many tribes of people who use amazing body art to adorn themselves for enjoyment and as an artistic expression. They use flowers, leaves, twigs and face and body paint made from natural pigments such as red ochre.
