To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is in regard to our home mortgage with Wells Fargo bank for 41 Locust St, Greenvale, 11548.
I would like to bring attention the recent hardships we have been facing and why we were unable to pay our mortgage in full amount in recent times. My husband, Mohammed Kamal, used to take care of all paperwork and financial management. He was also the only one who worked in the family and brought in all the income. However, in November of 2005, Mohammed was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) which is a degenerative and terminal neuromuscular disease. Over the years, my husband’s health has diminished along with his ability to work and manage finances, including mortgages. In 2008, my husband had to stop working because of his illness and is on long term disability. In more recent times, my husband has been dependent on a ventilator machine for breathing, lost his speaking ability and is completely paralyzed from neck down. He is now admitted into Townhouse Nursing Home as he requires caretaking around the clock. Such care is extremely expensive and they have started to use the entirety of my husband’s social security check to pay the medical bill every month. Medical bills, along with providing basic living expenses for a household of seven, have made it near impossible to pay the mortgage in full amount.
Another major issue we have had this year is a fire which destroyed our home on
