Corporate responsibility activities are important in assessing the influence of organizations on the environment, and on its impact on the social welfare of communities. Social corporate responsibility efforts transcend beyond efforts. Regulators of the environment come into play in the development of such guidelines. Another term for corporate responsibility relates to corporate citizenship (Rasche, Bakker & Moon, 2013). This term involves an organization incurring costs, which do not provide immediate financial benefits.
