One of these "Once in a lifetime" people is Father Kenneth A. Bray. Father Bray distinguished his players with traditions that exemplified outstanding character qualities of excellence, humility, hard work, discipline and sportsmanship. Although quite stern, Father Bray helped transform his players from boys into successful young men with his teachings.

Father Brays methods for teaching his players discipline were out of line and wasn't right in today's day and era but back then it was acceptable. On one occasion, Father Bray felt that his team was too cocky about the upcoming game and felt like his team was taking their opponents too lightly. With this in mind, Father Bray decided to kick one of house players of the team without reason until after the game was over. He felt that this was a good method for teaching his players to stay level headed and never underestimate your opponent.
Father bray helped instill in his players the values of being on time, and the value of hard work. Father Bray had a strict time of when his practices start and it stated, "School ended at 2:35 and the chalk talks began at 2:55 with players fully dressed and in uniform". Father Bray had strict expectations for his players and tried to instill in them a sense of urgency and precision with being on time. Father Bray also instilled in his players you don't only work hard in the games but most importantly in practice. Father Bray's players remembered all the hard practices that made them into better football players and people as a whole. Han remembers, "I hardly mention the games, whether win or lost. It's the practices that stick in our minds-the work, the team effort, the unstinting demands for excellence".
