This study evolves from an ecological perspective, which makes clear the need to view people and environment as a unitary system within a particular cultural and historic context. Both person and environment can be fully understood only in terms of their relationship in which each continually influences the other within a particular context. Hence, all concepts derived from the ecological metaphor refer not to environment alone or persons alone; rather each concept expresses a particular person; environment relationship, whether it is a positive or negative (Germaine & Gitterman 1989). I found that others specifically AARP and other agencies have developed an informal partnership that’s committed to providing support to grandparents raising grandchildren. This model lends itself to the Reflective Human Action Theory (Andrews, Mitisifer, Rehon and Vaughan, 1995), in that professional in the field of family and consumer science who can be part of social change. Andres, el at. propose a new way to view the core principles of the theory as sharing information, developing relationships, accepting chaos, and embracing vision.
